After you enlist
You'll receive a welcome email within minutes — confirming your enlistment and introducing you to the community guidelines and what to expect.
Based on your experience level and interests, we'll connect you with a mentor who fits your goals — whether that's learning the basics or refining advanced tactics.
Your mentor will reach out to schedule your first session — a relaxed introduction where you set goals, ask anything, and start building your path forward.
You'll be invited to the inner circle — early podcast access, community events, game nights, painting challenges, and more. The war table is yours.

None at all. This community was specifically built for people who are brand new to War Hammer. If you've never held a miniature, you're exactly who we want here. Experienced players are also welcome — especially those who want to give back as mentors.
Yes. Enlisting is completely free. There are no subscription fees, no paywalls, and no upsells. The mission is to grow the community — not monetize it. You might choose to buy miniatures or paint at some point (because it's an amazing hobby), but that's entirely on you.
The community's primary focus is on the War Hammer tabletop hobby in its many forms — including the core game, Age of Sigmar, and the broader Warhammer universe. Your mentor will be matched based on the specific game system you're most interested in.
After you enlist, Luke reviews each submission personally and matches you with a mentor based on your experience level, interests, and goals. Mentors are vetted community veterans who are passionate about helping newcomers. The whole process typically takes a few days.
